Here's a list inspired by Pamela Eyring's article in The Sydney Morning Herald. I think we've all been guilty of breaking one or two (or all) of these social rules regarding mobile phones.
1. Don't text or take calls when you're face-to-face with someone else (let voicemail do its job).
2. Don't yell or raise your voice - the whole train carriage does not want to know what you did on the weekend.
3. Put your phone on silent in restaurants, movie theatres, concerts, the Library etc.
4. Don't make staff wait - at the checkout or a restaurant.
5. Don't use your phone while driving.
6. Watch your language.
7. Don't use your mobile phone in the toilet - gross!
