Lisa Messenger is the founder of the Collective Hub, a multimedia platform that aims to help people find their full potential. Your teen years are a great time to find your purpose. Lisa's book is designed to help you find your why in life. The format is very easy to read with short chapters, lots of photos, quotes, stories from successful people, questions and exercised to help you find your purpose. While it's not written specifically for teens, I think there are definitely a lot of things you could get out of the book.

In her article on Ten Daily, Lisa Wilkinson describes how she survived the bullies when she was a teenager. She points out in her Ten Daily article that we live in an angry culture. It's not just children and teenagers who are being aggressive and bullies. Watch the news and you will see politician screaming at each other in Parliament, read the weekly women's magazines and you will see unflattering photos of celebrities pointing out every flaw, scroll through Facebook and you will see people making scathing comments on posts. She said, "Maybe it’s time we start embracing a culture that celebrates rather than sledges; that picks us up instead of putting us down."

Increased mobile phone use has also been linked to depression and anxiety. Teens who spent 20 hours or more on their devices each week were least happy. So basically, teens who spend less time in front of screens are happier. You can find out more here.
