Issue 4 of Teen Breathe is out. I love this magazine and I'm not even a teenager! In this issue you can find articles about:
  • Self-sabotage
  • Saying 'yes' to new experiences
  • Steps to managing panic attacks
Plus lots more. You can purchase it at your local newsagent or grocery store. You can find out more and subscribe here. I think the magazine would make a great gift, especially if you added a nice mug and some hot chocolate.

A new magazine hit the shelves last month called Teen Breathe. I finally managed to get my hands on a copy and read it from cover to cover. This magazine was a breath of fresh air - it included articles about Yoga for beginners, sugar, meditation, journaling and an origami project with paper. For a sneak peak inside, check out their website here. Issue 2 will be on sale on 1st March. You can also subscribe.

I just heard about this recently - it makes a lot of sense and can be applied to various areas of your life. You don't have to be a leader to watch this and use it.

A lot of fuss has been made recently over using plus size models and athletes in fashion shoots. Some people see this as progress, but as Lindsay and Lexie at Beauty Redefined point out, "As if seeing more and different undressed bodies will reduce this world’s obsession with valuing women as bodies above all else. As if seeing more bodies could ever convince women they are more than bodies."
Popular American magazine, Sports Illustrated, releases a Swimsuit issue each year (which is also their best selling issue each year).  These feature barely dressed women who are usually models, not sportswomen.  In comparison, their other issues during the year feature men suitably clothed and playing sport.  It's time we celebrate women for their sporting achievement, not their bodies.
