These would make a great gift and are an awesome way to recycle paper. A great holiday project or gift idea.

I love these cute macrame and cinnamon stick Christmas decorations.  You could always use small sticks if you don't have cinnamon sticks.

Let's face it - Mother's Day is a bit of a struggle this year and your Mum probably needs pampering more than ever so why not make her these awesome spa products and give her a facial at home (if she's game). Most of the ingredients can be found in your fridge or pantry or you can find them at your local grocery store ( or chemist for the Vitamin E oil). According to www.allure.com a facial should include the following:
  1. double cleanse
  2. exfoliate
  3. mask
  4. steam
  5. moisturise and massage

Here are some recipes for spa products:
Oil Cleanser for dry skin - https://helloglow.co
Honey and Brown Sugar Scrub - https://helloglow.co
Olive Oil Lips Scrub - https://www.thewonderforest.com
Honey and Oatmeal Face Mask - https://www.somewhatsimple.com
Simple Homemade Moisturiser - https://livesimply.me

I'm sure your Mum would be thrilled if you made just one of these products for her and put it in a nice jar for Mother's Day but if you want to go all out and make all of them - good for you!

If you're going crazy missing your best friends, here's how you can make your own. I visited https://paperthinpersonas.com and printed out some paper dolls and clothes then stuck a photo where the head should be. There are all kinds of crazy outfits. You can either print them out in colour or in black and white and colour them in yourself. I just stuck a piece of cardboard on the back so it would stand up. You could make one of yourself and pop it in your friend's letterbox.

A Piece of Rainbow has a tutorial on how to make a t-shirt yarn rug. This would be a great project to do over the holidays. It would also make a good Mother's Day gift. If you don't have some old t-shirts you can use you can buy some at your local Salvos or second hand store. You can also buy t-shirt yarn at craft stores. You can find the tutorial at www.apieceofrainbow.com. The are instructions on how to make the yarn as well. All you need are some old t-shirts, a hula hoop, some wool and scissors.
