This Pom Pom bunting is super easy to make and is a fun way to decorate your room. I made two different strands using three different shades of wool. I bought the wool from Spotlight, the pom pom makers from Kmart and the string from Big W. Red Ted Art has a great pom pom YouTube tutorial (see below). All you do is make lots of pom poms then tie them onto the string and voila—pom pom bunting!

You have a long, hot summer stretching out in front of you. Cross-stitch is a great mindful activity to do and get off your phone for a while. I bought this kit from Big W but changed the colours. You can buy the supplies at Spotlight and some websites have kits, or patterns that you can purchase online or even free patterns. Check out the following websites:
DMC has free patterns.
Spruce Craft Co have kits for beginners.
Spotlight has kits available, including some cute Star Wars ones.
You can buy PDF boho patterns from the Miracle Stitch Etsy Store.
Love Crafts has a cross stitch basics video (see below).

These are super cute and super easy. They would make a great gift idea for a friend, sister, mum or grandmother. I made mine in an evening using slippers from Target, a Kmart pom pom maker, and yarn from Spotlight. You can watch the Red Ted Art pom pom tutorial below.

I love these paper Christmas ornaments - all you need is some paper, glue, string, beads and patience. They would be a great mindfulness activity. Note: you can mute the music and just read the captions.

These origami pull out drawers are really easy to make. They would be great as a gift box or you could use them to store your jewellery or stationery.

This gift idea is so easy and pretty cheap. I washed an empty tomato tin and punctured a couple of holes in the bottom for drainage with a hammer and nail. Then I covered it in blackboard contact from K-Mart and wrote a corny label in chalk pen. The good thing is it's chalk so if you mess it up you can just wipe it off with a damp cloth and start again. I bought the thyme at the local farmers' market but you can buy herbs at the hardware store or garden centre. I love a good pun and couldn't resist this one!
