In a recent article in the Herald Sun, author of Girl Stuff, Kaz Cooke, blamed the porn industry on the idea that girls have to look sexy to be attractive.  The Kardashians and their gal pals have contributed to this with regular social media posts that could be mistaken for soft porn.  News flash: you don't have to look like a prostitute to be beautiful!

I have a confession to make - I'm really bad at applying eyeshadow.  Hope you find this tutorial helpful.  Laura Lee is kind of goofy but her tips are good.

Izzi Dymalovski created her own range of skincare for teens and tweens when her Mum wouldn't let her use her products because of the chemicals they contained and told her to make her own.  She appeared on the television show, Shark Tank to pitch her product and did some work experience with Janine Allis who founded Boost.  Her products are now stocked in over 370 Priceline stores around the country. And the craziest part is, she is only 14 years old. Find out more at www.luvurskin.com.au.

From the helpful folk at www.westfield.com.au
  1. Begin by running your brushes under warm water.
  2. Add warm water to a bowl, only pouring enough to cover the brush hairs. When the water turns dirty, tip it out and add clean water.
  3. Apply a few pumps of baby shampoo, antibacterial hand soap or face wash.
  4. Swirl the brush in a circular motion to get a deep clean.
  5. Rinse the tip of the brush under running water. Repeat steps 1-3 until the brush hairs look clean and the water runs clear.
  6. Using a clean face towel, dry the brushes, reshaping them as you go.
  7. Lay the brushes flat on a towel to dry.

Samantha Cheney swears by double cleansing in her article Teenage Beauty on www.stylingyou.com.au.  She says that cleansing once removes what's on the surface and cleansing a second time removes impurities underneath.  She also stresses that you must clean your makeup brushes regularly otherwise bacteria builds up in them.  You can read more here.

From the Beautiful Minds blog by Marina Passalaris:
The first beauty product you should apply every day is sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy or rainy outside. The sun’s UV rays can penetrate clouds and car windows. Apply SPF 30 to your face, neck and hands.
