It's Mother's Day this Sunday in Australia. I love this song by Anne-Marie about her Mum.

This is actually a Christmas gift idea video but they would make great Mother's Day or birthday gifts as well.

A Piece of Rainbow has a tutorial on how to make a t-shirt yarn rug. This would be a great project to do over the holidays. It would also make a good Mother's Day gift. If you don't have some old t-shirts you can use you can buy some at your local Salvos or second hand store. You can also buy t-shirt yarn at craft stores. You can find the tutorial at www.apieceofrainbow.com. The are instructions on how to make the yarn as well. All you need are some old t-shirts, a hula hoop, some wool and scissors.

Why not jazz up Mum's breakfast in Bed this Mother's Day with the following yummy looking recipes from the Woolworths website or the Woolworths Mother's Day Breakfast in Bed PDF:

• Heart-shaped French toast with Strawberries
• Ricotta, salmon and zucchini pikelets
• Gluten free banoffee pancakes

If you're a complete dunce in the kitchen or have absolutely no time you could go for a no-cook breakfast with Danish pastries, croissants and muffins from the bakery (heated up in the oven - technically not cooking), some nice muesli, fruit yoghurt and fresh fruit served with juice and tea or coffee.
