According to an interview with Rolling Stone, Jessica says Forget you "speaks to independence and the joy of embracing life. Whether it’s a bad boss, a breakup or waking up from a nightmare, some things in life can get the better of you. This song is about knowing that you can be strong and say a big ‘Forget You’ to those things holding you back." The fun music video features her dog, Leo.
