Pressure makes diamonds.
Stephanie Morton is a 27 year old Australian cyclist who won three gold medals in the cycling at the Commonwealth games this month. She didn't take up competitive cycling until she was 15 years old. The journey hasn't always been a smooth ride though, she endured two knee surgeries and glandular fever over a  three year period. She said, Pressure makes diamonds. We’re going to keep rolling with that motto. We’ve all had our bumps and bruises and fair share of injuries, and we use each other as motivation – be there for your teammate when you do have an injury.
Stephanie is studying criminology and wants to become a police officer.

Strong and successful women achieve things when we build each other UP instead of trying to knock each other down.
The Girlfriend Movement has a great interview with Elise Stacy who is a former Australian Women's hockey player (you may also recognise her from The Bachelor). She talked about the spirit of sisterhood amongst the hockey players which encouraged them to be the best on and off the field. Girls can "achieve more together than we could ever hope to on our own." You can read the full interview here.
